Abstract

The spectra of two-electron configurations in (jj) and (jl) coupling and of the configurations d^n, f^3, d^2p, and d^8p in (LS) coupling are calculated with tensor operators. The agreement with the odd terms of Ti II and Ni II is satisfactory. It is also proved that G^{k} (2k+1) is a positive decreasing function of k.
