The resonant photoreflectance signal was measured by the two-color pump–probe method at a fractional filling factor of two-dimensional electrons of ν = 1/3 in a GaAs quantum well at helium temperatures of T ~ 0.6 K. It was demonstrated that the modified pump–probe method can measure the relaxation times of excitations in the Laughlin liquid on the order of hundreds of seconds.
Larionov et al. (Sun,) studied this question.
