To explore the relationship between body composition, quality of life, and depression in women with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).
Assessment of body composition in women diagnosed with PCOS
Evaluation of quality of life and depressive symptoms using standardized questionnaires
Analysis of correlations between body composition and psychological outcomes
No significant relationship found between body composition and depressive symptoms
Quality of life perceptions were not significantly impacted by body composition
Health-related quality of life (HRQoL) did not show a correlation with body composition
Abstract
Based on these findings, we concluded that body composition does not appear to be a determining factor for increased risk of depressive symptoms or poorer perceptions of QoL and HRQoL in women with PCOS.
