Abstract The accounting sector has been substantially impacted by the ongoing digital transformation that is affecting various industries. The objective of this investigation is to evaluate the influence of blockchain technology on the efficacy of Nigerian accounting practices. A structured questionnaire was distributed to specific respondents, including CPAs, in order to collect primary data in this study, which employed a qualitative methodology, finance analysts, and blockchain experts. By 2025, Nigeria had 178 registered accounting businesses. A purposive selection approach was utilised to select 123 firms, to whom three questionnaires were distributed each firm, yielding a total sample size of 369 questionnaires. The data were examined using descriptive and inferential statistics. The findings indicated that blockchain technology markedly enhanced the efficiency of accounting procedures in Nigeria.
