Photographs, written descriptions and amended architects drawings were used to provide a Basic Level survey of Belevedere House which lies right beside the Perth to Inverness railway line. A full record of the building prior to the completion of its refurbishment was made. Limited background historical research was also carried out which included some study of the three reused carved stone panels in the buildings West facing external elevation. Two of them are dated 1601 and 1627 respectively and the one dated 1627 has heraldic imagery relating to John Graham of Balgowan and his wife Isobel Bonar. These may have come from Broxie House which was removed for the building of the railway.
