Key Points

  • To deeply investigate the challenges faced by undeclared first-year students during their major selection process and convert these into prioritizable support needs.
  • Conducted qualitative interviews and focus group discussions.
  • Applied a mixed methods approach combining qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Utilized the Borich needs assessment and the Locus for Focus model in the analysis.
  • Identified key challenges include emotional pressure related to major deadlines and instability in selection criteria.
  • Highlighted the need for an integrated career design framework and improved access to realistic information.

Abstract

양적 연구에서는 IPA, Borich 요구도 분석, The Locus for Focus 모델을 복합적으로 활용하였다.
