A programme of archaeological monitoring and recording was undertaken by Oakford Archaeology in April 2025 at St Andrew's, South Huish, Devon. The site lies in an area of high archaeological potential to the southeast of the ruined medieval parish church along the southern edge of the graveyard. The work was therefore required by South Hams District Council, as advised by the Devon County Historic Environment Team. The archaeological monitoring and recording was maintained during works associated with the construction of a new retaining wall. Removal of the collapsed section of graveyard wall exposed a historic made ground built up against the rear of the historic churchyard wall, likely the result of earlier works to St Andrew's Church and relates to the disposal of excess building and demolition material. nothing of significance was found
