This study explores the potential of genetically modified and hormonally treated plants as a method of atmospheric carbon dioxide (CO₂) capture. By focusing on the effects of auxin (Indole-3-acetic acid, IAA) and cytokinin (6-Benzylaminopurine, BAP) application on plant growth, the study aims to evaluate if the resultant increased biomass causes a meaningful increase in carbon capture. Using a controlled growth experiment, the study analyzes growth rates, biomass accumulation, plant height, and CO₂ uptake. The findings will help determine if this approach is a scalable and safe method of carbon sequestration or if other biology based strategies are more promising.
