Surgical resection of a rare, large tricuspid valve papillary fibroelastoma in a 2-year-old female successfully restored valve function and resulted in an asymptomatic status at follow-up.

1 asymptomatic 2-year-old female referred for evaluation of a harsh III/VI holosystolic murmur, found to have a large mobile heterogenous echogenic mass attached to the tricuspid valve.
Surgical resection of the mass and tricuspid valve reconstruction using autologous pericardium.
Post-operative valve function and patient symptom status at follow-up.
Reports a rare case of a right-sided papillary fibroelastoma causing valvular dysfunction in a 2-year-old child, successfully treated with surgical resection.
Papillary fibroelastoma is a rare benign cardiac tumor typically seen in adults and when present is on the left side of the heart. We present the case of an otherwise healthy 2-year-old female referred to cardiology for a harsh holosystolic found to have a papillary fibroelastoma involving the tricuspid valve.

Perez-Kersey et al. (Tue,) conducted a case report in Tricuspid valve papillary fibroelastoma (n=1). Surgical resection and valve reconstruction was evaluated on Post-operative clinical and echocardiographic status. Surgical resection of a rare, large tricuspid valve papillary fibroelastoma in a 2-year-old female successfully restored valve function and resulted in an asymptomatic status at follow-up.
