A proposal for enhancing the performance of the academic departments at SHAQRA University according to the Serrat model for the learning organization

This study aims to identify the applying degree of the learning organization dimensions according to the (Serrat model, 2010) in the academic departments at SHAQRA University. The study also aims to develop a proposal for enhancing the performance of the academic departments at SHAQRA University according to the Serrat model for the learning organization. The researcher followed the descriptive survey methodology as the survey is the study tool. The study population includes the staff members at SHAQRA University and a sample averaged (256) members. The study findings revealed that the practice degree of the learning organization dimensions in the academic departments at SHAQRA University was moderate. The rankings are as follow: the individuals dimension ranks first, the supportive leadership dimension ranked second, then the knowledge generation dimension ranked third and benefiting from technology dimension ranked last to be the least dimension of the learning organization in the academic departments at SHAQRA University in terms of the practice. The researcher developed a proposal for enhancing the performance of the academic departments at SHAQRA University according to the (Serrat model, 2010) for the learning organization. The enhancing and improving methods were developed for the four Serrat model dimensions (supportive leadership - individuals - knowledge generation - benefiting from technology).
