Why do even the most robust dominant orders inevitably decline? This article advances a diagnostic framework identifying three foundational erosion mechanisms inherent to all collective advantages. Leveraging UN General Assembly voting cohesion data (1979–2024), it demonstrates how generational memory dissipation, societal stress accumulation, and technological connectivity permeation have systematically eroded the post-1945 international order—moving beyond simplistic causal accounts to uncover the structural temporality of power itself.
