Genome assembly reveals low nucleotide diversity in Belisarius xambeui, indicating evolutionary insights for the species.
<ns3:p> We present a chromosome-level reference genome for the blind scorpion <ns3:italic>Belisarius xambeui</ns3:italic> Simon, 1879 (Belisariidae, Scorpiones). The genome size estimated by flow cytometry (4.32 Gb) closely matches the final assembly size (3.98 Gb). The final assembly comprises 19,045 scaffolds, including 56 chromosome-level scaffolds (pseudochromosomes) that account for 90.08% of the total assembly. Nucleotide diversity across the genome was low, with an average <ns3:italic>π</ns3:italic> of 0.0018. </ns3:p>
