Efficacy and Safety of Switching from Entecavir to Tenofovir Alafenamide in Chronic Hepatitis B: A Multicenter Randomized Trial in Korea
Puntos clave
To evaluate the efficacy and safety of switching from entecavir to tenofovir alafenamide in patients with chronic hepatitis B.
Conducted a multicenter randomized trial in Korea.
Compared virologic, biochemical, and serologic outcomes between entecavir and tenofovir alafenamide.
Evaluated safety profiles of both treatments.
Switching to tenofovir alafenamide maintained virologic suppression similar to continuing with entecavir.
Biochemical and serologic outcomes were comparable between the two treatments.
Safety profiles showed no significant differences.
Resumen
Switching from ETV to TAF was noninferior to continuing ETV in maintaining virologic suppression, with comparable biochemical, serologic, and safety outcomes. (ClinicalTrials. gov identifier NCT06000657).
