Scoping review identifies competency domains and gaps in ambulance driver training and evaluation standards.
This project outlines a scoping review protocol aimed at systematically mapping and synthesizing the existing literature on the competency framework of ambulance drivers within Emergency Medical Services (EMS). The review focuses on identifying core competency domains, examining how these competencies are defined and assessed, and exploring existing training, certification, and performance evaluation approaches. The review also aims to identify gaps in the literature to inform the development of a structured and contextually relevant competency framework. This scoping review will be conducted in accordance with the Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) methodology and reported following the PRISMA-ScR guidelines. This study is conducted by a doctoral student affiliated with Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang and Universitas Gadjah Mada, Indonesia.
