The adoption of best agricultural practices is crucial for addressing global food security while preserving the health of the ecosystem. The United Nations projects a global population of 9.7billion by 2050, leading to an increased demand for food. However, conventional agricultural practices are threatening long-term sustainability, resulting in environmental degradation, soil depletion, water scarcity and biodiversity losses. In contrast, sustainable agricultural practices, including crop production, livestock management, soil conservation and water management are essential for ensuring food security and ecosystem sustainability. Sustainable agriculture involves economically viable, environmentally sound, and and socially responsible farming systems that maintain or enhance the quality of land, water and air for future generations. The global food demand has increased due to population growth, changing eating habits, and economic development, putting pressure on food production systems. To meet food needs while fostering resilient and sustainable agricultural systems, local, national, and international efforts are required to support sustainable agriculture, enhanced food production and promote ecosystem services. Encouraging farmers and agricultural stakeholders to embrace sustainable techniques in crop cultivation, livestock husbandry, soil preservation and water management. It is possible to enhance crop yields, protect environmental resources and ensure the enduring sustainability of agricultural processes. These require concerted efforts at the local, national and international levels.
