Abstract

This is the slide deck of the rendez-vous de l'information scientifique organised by the University of Geneva Library and devoted to the University's Read & Publish agreements with scientific publishers. The presentation was first given as part of Open Access Week 2022, and has been offered a few times since, with small updates on the slides. Objective: To discover the agreements allowing UNIGE authors to publish their research in Open Access at no or low cost, as well as their terms & conditions. Program/Contents: Present the evolution of scientific publishing with the emergence of new types of agreements with publishers Identify the issues at stake in national negotiations Locate information on the agreements and the conditions applicable for the (full or partial) coverage of costs.
