Within the Universities of Excellence funding line of the Excellence Strategy, the international Committee of Experts reviews every seven years whether the requirements for joint funding under the administrative agreement on the Excellence Strategy continue to be met. This statement summarizes the results of the evaluation of the University of Excellence Heidelberg University for the funding period 2019-2026. It was adopted by the Committee of Experts on March 10, 2026, and submitted to the Excellence Commission for approval.
