AbstractA conceptual linear fusion device is proposed, combining pulsed magnetic compression withbidirectional microwave heating. The approach aims to simultaneously increase plasma densityand temperature through adiabatic compression, while maintaining axial symmetry via dual-endenergy injection.A secondary exploratory module based on X-ray and ultraviolet irradiation is introduced as apotential mechanism for inducing non-thermal plasma effects. This component is explicitly treatedas speculative and requires dedicated numerical validation.Preliminary analytical estimates suggest that ion temperatures in the range of 50–80 keV maybe achievable under optimistic assumptions, potentially approaching break-even conditions. Theconcept is intended as an intermediate-scale experimental platform rather than a reactor-readydesign.
