This structured framework examines leadership in changing organizations, highlighting insights for adaptation and decision-making.
Paper Description This document provides the structural framework for the six-part series Managing What You Can’t Stabilize | Leadership in the Age of Adaptive Systems. The series examines how organizations operate under conditions that no longer remain stable while being managed. Rather than proposing solutions or introducing new models, it shifts the level of observation through which familiar structures—such as systems, roles, decision-making, and coordination—are understood. Across six contributions, the same situation is approached from different observational points. The progression does not extend a single line of argument. It repositions it. The series does not operate at the level of intervention. No direct application is derived. It establishes a structural perspective on why organizations continue to adapt only after change has already taken effect, even when they are actively engaged with emerging conditions. The series is grounded in a more extensive underlying paper, which remains restricted.
