Twenty-eight archaeological trial trenches were excavated across a 4.2ha site area. Archaeological remains were recorded in five of the trenches. These comprised a low density and complexity of ditches and gullies, distributed across the evaluated area. Two post-medieval / modern ditches relate to the agricultural use of the site in the 19th and 20th centuries. The ditches are former parts of the field boundary system, shown on historic mapping from the mid-19th century onwards. Three small ditches / gullies are undated. Due to the paucity of evidence across the site, it is difficult to ascertain their period of use, though they likely represent small isolated periods of activity.
