Proposes a bridge connecting general relativity and quantum field theory using q₀ and free energy.
V2 Update: Condensed content and introduced the concept of local flat patches to the polyhedralization of GR. Abstract This paper proposes a methodological bridge between general relativity (GR) and quantum field theory (QFT). It does not claim to provide a final unification of the two frameworks. Instead, it identifies a possible common physical layer through the internal structure of Newton’s constant G, and more specifically through the bridge quantity q₀ introduced in the companion structural-fluctuation framework. In this framework, q₀ is fixed by the free-energy-minimum condition of a mesoscopic structural-fluctuation subsystem and takes the determinate value q₀ = α¹⁸. The central proposal is that the minimum state fixed by q₀ supplies a locally flat reference background suitable for QFT, while the same parent structural-fluctuation free energy also permits an outer-variable readout that assembles these locally flat patches into a macroscopically curved GR geometry. The discussion is deliberately restricted to the ideal isotropic limit corresponding to G₀, allowing the bridge logic to be isolated in its simplest form. On this basis, the paper develops a polyhedral picture: local elementary patches are flat and compatible with QFT; their admissible scales are governed by the minimum-state bridge unit q₀; and their large-scale assembly yields the curved spacetime described by GR. The value of the proposal lies not in claiming a completed unification, but in offering a coherent intermediate-layer scheme through which GR and QFT may be methodologically interconnected.
