Demonstrates improved signal reception in radio monitoring, suggesting effective design modifications.
In this paper, a new ultra‐wideband receiving antenna for radio monitoring is proposed. The antenna has a wide frequency range of 700 MHz to 6 GHz () and is fed by a coplanar waveguide (CPW). Its ultra‐wideband characteristics meet the needs of modern wireless communication. To enhance the antenna's performance in the low‐frequency band and achieve ultra‐wideband characteristics, we constructed a composite structure that comprises a pair of symmetrical power‐divider‐like structures, a central serpentine structure, a tapered microstrip feedline, an impedance‐matching node, and an M‐shaped feeding structure. The antenna operates over a broad frequency range, with a measured peak gain of 5.1 dB. Both simulated and measured results show that the total efficiency exceeds 75% within the 1.6–5 GHz range. As a radio monitoring antenna, it effectively receives signals across multiple communication bands and demonstrates excellent performance.
