Abstract

The article explores the impact of rapid digital transformation on the formation and transmission of spiritual and moral values in modern society. The purpose of this work is to identify the theoretical foundations and develop practical recommendations for using the concept of digital sovereignty to protect and strengthen traditional spiritual and moral values in the context of the dominance of global digital platforms and cross-border information flows. The research methodology is based on a structural and functional analysis of the impact of the digital environment on social institutions, a systematic approach to understanding the components of digital sovereignty, and a content analysis of modern digital phenomena related to the preservation and strengthening of spiritual and moral values. The article analyzes both the risks associated with the fragmentation of moral guidelines, the algorithmic polarization of discussions, and the commercialization of spiritual practices, as well as the emerging opportunities for democratizing moral dialogue and preserving cultural heritage. Special attention is given to the concept of digital sovereignty as a necessary condition for protecting personal space, privacy, and ensuring the ethical quality of digital interactions. The article demonstrates that strengthening spiritual and moral values in the digital age requires not only technological control, but also extensive educational, institutional, and cultural efforts to promote responsible digital behavior and critical understanding of technological media. The theoretical significance of the study lies in expanding the political and legal understanding of digital sovereignty by integrating it with the value-based core of state and public security. The practical significance lies in proposing a set of measures (legal, educational, and organizational-technical) to implement a sovereign digital policy aimed at protecting national spiritual and moral values. Thus, the successful protection of spiritual and moral values in the digital age is inextricably linked to the implementation of the principles of digital sovereignty, which should be based on the protection of privacy (as the foundation of moral autonomy), the development of critical digital education, and the formation of a culture of responsible behavior.
