The Government of Maharashtra plays a key role in developing social protection programs and improving the socioeconomic well-being of marginalized communities. This study evaluates the impact of these programs on Scheduled Castes (SCs) in Pune district. These programs primarily focus on key metrics such as employment, education, health, housing, and finance. The study used a methodology that integrated quantitative data from government reports with qualitative observations collected through interviews. Initial findings show significant progress in education and skill development, resulting in improved employment for Scheduled Caste youth. However, equitable access to healthcare and housing remains a challenge. Furthermore, this study examines the role of community outreach in enhancing the impact of social program initiatives and identifies areas for policy improvement. This study examines the development of more inclusive and effective social protection policies.
