Comparative assessment measures wear resistance in disc ploughshares, indicating potential improvements in agricultural machinery.
Improving the efficiency of agricultural production is based on a high technical level of machines, which is due to the use of innovative technologies in agricultural engineering. In this regard, it is necessary to ensure the operability of the main working bodies of sowing machines when cultivating grain crops, in particular, for grain seeders - the operability of two-disc ploughshares. The purpose of the research is a comparative assessment of the tribotechnical properties of serial and experimental discs based on laboratory tests of samples. During the studies, a program was drawn up and a test methodology was developed in two stages: at the first stage, wear tests were carried out with an assessment of mass wear in order to compare the wear resistance of disk samples on a grinding machine in the LaboPol-30 and LaboForce-100 set; at the second stage, friction tests were carried out with an estimate of the sliding friction coefficient of the working surfaces on a universal UMT-200 friction machine. The test results showed that the ratio of the wear intensity of serial and prototypes is 1.3... 1.9, and the ratio of the friction coefficient of serial and prototypes is 1.22... 2.11. These results are highly comparable to the results of comparative accelerated bench tests of serial and experimental discs for wear.
