Examines the role of social media and AI in promoting digital payments in India, suggesting significant influences on consumer adoption.
India's rapid digital transformation has significantly changed the marketing landscape and financial structure, particularly in the promotion of digital payment systems. This study examines the impact of social media, digital marketing, and artificial intelligence (AI) on accelerating the adoption of digital payments in India. The analysis is based on secondary data collected from reports, journals, articles, and industry publications relevant to the expansion of digital marketing and fintech. The findings indicate that widespread internet access, affordable data plans, and the increasing use of smartphones have contributed to the rise of social media platforms such as YouTube, WhatsApp, and Instagram, which serve as powerful tools for influencing consumer behavior. Digital marketing strategies, including targeted advertising, influencer marketing, and video content, have enhanced awareness and trust in digital payment systems. Furthermore, AI-driven technologies, such as chatbots, predictive analytics, and personalized recommendations, have improved customer engagement and facilitated seamless transactions. The results imply that the integration of AI with digital marketing has significantly increased user adoption, transaction frequency, and customer satisfaction. However, challenges such as data privacy concerns, technological hurdles, and gaps in digital literacy remain. The study concludes that social media, digital marketing, and AI are crucial enablers in promoting digital payments and achieving financial inclusion in India.
