Summary In the era of open science and generative AI, guidelines for preparing scientific publications are evolving rapidly. An increasing number of studies are emerging on how academic journals are implementing AI‐related policies. Despite the growing number of scientific journals addressing AI‐generated content, there are still some gaps in their editorial policies. Further action is needed to implement editorial policies on AI globally to ensure transparency and uphold ethics in science.
