Abstract

Abstract Contemporary physics is characterized by a schism between the smooth geometry of General Relativityand the discrete probabilistic nature of Quantum Mechanics. Furthermore, phenomena such as thevacuum catastrophe, the origin of chirality, and the "hard problem" of consciousness remain unresolvedwithin the Standard Model. This paper proposes Distinction-Flow Theory (DFT), a foundationalframework that redefines the ontology of the universe not as matter or energy, but as Distinction(Information) and Flow (Dynamics). We posit that the universe is a non-viscous, superfluid backgroundof proto-consciousness. In this framework, energy is the flow of distinction, matter consists of stableTopological Solitons (knots) within this flow, and gravity is an entropic force arising from informationdensity. We derive fundamental physical laws—including Special Relativity, the Uncertainty Principle,and the Poisson equation for gravity—from information-geometric axioms. We further resolve theCasimir effect as a hydrodynamic shadowing phenomenon and explain parity violation as a consequenceof global background torsion. Finally, we propose five falsifiable experiments, including gravitationalanomalies in superconducting phase transitions and deviations in wide binary star orbits.
