We report on magnetoresistance measurements of the misfit layer compound (SnS)1.17(NbS2) in the superconducting state down to 50mK. Its anisotropy was found to be in the range of 10 and remains constant down to the lowest temperature of measurement. On the other hand, the coherence length in the direction perpendicular to the superconducting planes at zero temperature is higher than the distance separating the centers of two successive superconducting layers, so this compound behaves as a 3D-superconductor.
