Review highlights the potential of MAX series materials for efficient electromagnetic wave absorption, suggesting future development pathways.
In the new era of advanced information and intelligent technologies, electromagnetic pollution has emerged as a growing concern, creating an urgent demand for high‐performance electromagnetic wave absorbing materials. MAX series materials, thanks to their unique layered structures and tunable physicochemical properties, have gradually emerged as a promising platform for constructing efficient electromagnetic wave absorbers. This paper systematically reviews recent research progress on MAX‐based electromagnetic wave absorbing materials, with a focus on multidimensional structural design strategies and performance optimization mechanisms. Finally, the key challenges faced by MAX series materials for electromagnetic wave absorption are discussed, and a research framework of “mechanism understanding–structural design–performance prediction–functional application” is proposed, providing forward‐looking insights and a systematic roadmap for their future development.
