Investigates the transcriptome response to chilling stress in Dendrocalamus brandisii seedlings, suggesting significant physiological adaptations.
In this project, we subjected the natural seedlings of Dendrocalamus brandisii 'Manxie Tianzhu' to continuous stress at zero-degree low temperature for 48 hours. Samples were taken from the top 1 to 6 leaves at 0 hours (control), 1 hour, 2 hours, 4 hours, 8 hours, 12 hours, 24 hours, and 48 hours after the stress. The samples were rapidly frozen with liquid nitrogen and stored in a freezer at -80 degrees Celsius. After the samples were ground, some portions were used for transcriptome, hormone, and metabolome tests.
