Leadership plays a critical role in shaping organizational success, employee motivation, and team productivity. Different leadership styles influence communication patterns, employee engagement, decision-making processes, and overall team effectiveness. This research paper examines the relationship between leadership styles and team performance within organizational settings. The study focuses on transformational, transactional, democratic, autocratic, and laissez-faire leadership styles and evaluates their impact on employee productivity, collaboration, innovation, and job satisfaction. The research adopts a qualitative and quantitative analytical approach using secondary data from scholarly articles, organizational reports, and case studies published between 2019 and 2025. Findings reveal that transformational and democratic leadership styles positively influence team cohesion, creativity, and performance outcomes, while autocratic and laissez-faire approaches often result in lower morale and reduced collaboration when applied excessively. Transactional leadership demonstrates effectiveness in structured and performance-driven environments but may limit innovation. The study highlights the growing importance of adaptive leadership in modern organizations operating in dynamic and technologically driven environments. Real-world examples from companies such as Google, Microsoft, and Tesla demonstrate how leadership approaches influence organizational culture and employee outcomes. The paper concludes with recommendations for organizations to adopt flexible and employee-centered leadership strategies to maximize team performance and sustainable growth.
