Demonstrates spectral equivalence between Hilbert and Kreĭn spaces, highlighting significance for the Riemann Hypothesis.
Connes' spectral approach to the Riemann Hypothesis constructs a Hilbert space on the adèle class space with a positive-definite inner product; the MNZI programme constructs an L^2(Gamma) with an indefinite Kreĭn inner product. We prove that these two constructions are spectrally equivalent via an explicit unitary map U constructed from the Mellin-Eisenstein transform with archimedean normalisation. Specifically, we prove unconditionally: (i) the essential spectrum of Connes' operator D_Connes equals the J-essential spectrum of the Kreĭn scattering operator A = JM_phi, via the explicit identification U; (ii) the Connes decomposition into absorbed and emitted states corresponds to the Kreĭn fundamental decomposition under U. Under a single additional hypothesis on the absorption operator at the archimedean place (Hypothesis ARH): (iii) the Connes absorption operator Q equals P_-^J A under U; (iv) Connes' positivity conjecture Tr(R_Lambda) >= 0 is equivalent to kappa = ind_J(A) = 0 and to the Riemann Hypothesis under the Spectral Correspondence Hypothesis. The archimedean factor in phi(s) = xi(2s-1)/xi(2s) cancels between numerator and denominator, encoding the archimedean regularisation in the functional equation phi(1-s) = 1/phi(s), which is precisely the Kreĭn J-self-adjointness condition.
