Genome assembly explores genomic structure in Gorse Streak moth, highlighting plant biodiversity implications.
<ns3:p> We present a genome assembly from an individual male <ns3:italic>Mirificarma mulinella</ns3:italic> (Gorse Streak; Arthropoda; Insecta; Lepidoptera; Gelechiidae). The assembly contains two haplotypes with total lengths of 658.35 megabases and 657.33 megabases. Most of haplotype 1 (99.58%) is scaffolded into 30 chromosomal pseudomolecules, including the Z sex chromosome. Haplotype 2 was assembled to scaffold level. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled, with a length of 15.34 kilobases. This assembly was generated as part of the Darwin Tree of Life project, which produces genomes for eukaryotic species found in Britain and Ireland. </ns3:p>
