Presentation introduces Room Optimizer for Cuboid Spaces, optimizing room dimensions and audio placement.
This presentation introduces ROCS, a new cloud-based, iterative Room Optimizer for Cuboid Spaces. The software simultaneously optimizes room dimensions and the placement of listeners and speakers. Users can define variables such as room size, listener position, speaker location, angles, and heights and select from a library of speakers and boundary constructions. The program enables evaluation of room modes, frequency response, pressure fields, and the positions of first- and second-order specular reflections from walls, floor, and ceiling. Three optimization modes—Fast, Balanced, and Detailed—accommodate varying computational requirements for speed and accuracy. After optimization, the program presents multiple optimal solutions, each providing key metrics for low-frequency response and spatial variation. An example run of the program will be demonstrated.
