Distributed Acoustic Sensing (DAS) is a technique of obtaining acoustic signals using optical fibers. DAS has rapidly developed because of the low running costs and the conversion of already installed communication cables into sensors. In conventional studies, researchers have focused on analyzing seismic signals and other low-frequency signals, i.e., vibrations. In this work, we review the principle of DAS and introduce our DAS-related studies combined with acoustic signal processing and machine learning.
