Mixed blockchain framework enhances security and trust in event ticketing, indicating improved user ownership.
This study presents a mixed blockchain setup that aims to strengthen the security and trustworthiness of event ticketing. It combines a permissioned ledger for issuing tickets and enforcing rules with an optional public EVM-compatible chain. This chain allows attendees to hold verifiable digital items, such as proof-of-attendance records. The framework addresses common issues in digital ticketing, including unauthorized duplication, uncontrolled secondary sales, weak identity verification, and the absence of lasting digital documentation. These challenges are reduced through temporary QR credentials, rule-based resale operations managed via chaincode, adaptable identity-linking methods, and a secured off-chain storage system backed by cryptographic proofs. The design balances operational efficiency, transparent governance, and decentralizeduser ownership while remaining accessible to general users.
