CNN using qInward variability classifies TdP risk drugs with 0.94 AUC.
An in-silico deep learning model for proarrhythmic risk assessment achieved moderate AUCs of 0.75 and 0.78, indicating a need for broader training datasets.
datasets, but the model performance decreased to a moderate level of 0.75 and 0.78 AUC. These results suggest the need for the proposed CNN model to be trained and tested using various types of drugs.

Jeong et al. (2022) studied Drug-induced Torsades de Pointes (TdP) risk (n=28). Convolutional neural network (CNN) model using qInward variability vs. Single value of in silico features (OLR model) was evaluated on Area under the curve (AUC) for classifying high-risk TdP drugs (AUC 0.94, 95% CI 0.60-1.00). The proposed convolutional neural network classifier using qInward variability effectively classified Torsades de Pointes risk drugs with an AUC of 0.94 for high risk and 0.93 for low risk.
