Demonstrates efficient DNA origami folding in liposomes, indicating a novel delivery method.
DNA Nanotechnology In their Research Article (10.1002/sstr.202500818), Ryuji Kawano and co-workers demonstrated the folding of DNA origami nanostructures inside cell-sized liposomes. Liposomes with an optimized lipid composition withstand annealing heat stress while retaining encapsulated DNA. DNA staple strands are transported from the external solution into the liposomes through transient biological nanopores that are subsequently resealed, enabling in situ DNA origami folding.
