This is a case study of creating a Learning Study Community for promoting teacher professional development and student effective learning in a secondary school in Hong Kong. The single case study analyses how a Learning Study Community is created in an aided secondary school. Hall and Hord’s (2006) strategies for change, and Kotter’s (1996) model of leading change have also been adopted as the analytical framework. Results show that the case school applied Kotter’s (1996) model to initial change, and Hall and Hord’s (2006) strategies were also identified as supporting factors for creating a Learning Study Community.
