Vaporization chemistry in the system was studied by simultaneous Knudsen‐effusion and torsion‐effusion measurements of the vapor pressure. The vapor was assumed to be a mixture of the vapors of and , the latter being suppressed by the more volatile . Solid compositions were deduced from Debye‐Scherrer x‐ray diffractograms and from the mass loss of a sample with known initial composition. Vapor pressures were measured over pure and over solid solutions of in between compositions corresponding to and . The solutions were ideal with mol fractions calculated on the basis of formulas and . Third‐law analysis gave of vaporization of pure , , and of from solid solution in , . The of solution of in was . The substance is an ideal, nearly saturated solid solution of in . The present study gave no indication of a high temperature phase change in .
