Prokopiv et al. (2025) conducted an observational in Atrial fibrillation (n=121). Persistent and permanent atrial fibrillation vs. Paroxysmal atrial fibrillation was evaluated on Association of System inflammation response index (SIRI) with atrial fibrillation progression (OR 1.764, 95% CI 1.571-1.982, p=<0.001). Elevated leukocyte inflammatory indices, such as the systemic immune response index (OR 1.764), were significantly associated with the progression of atrial fibrillation to permanent forms.
