Archaeological Evaluation Report: Geophysical Survey by Magnetometry and Watching Brief Monitoring and Recording of Flixborough Solar Farm

Allen Archaeology Limited was commissioned by Greencells GmbH to undertake a geophysical survey and an archaeological watching brief as a condition of planning consent for the construction of a 6 MWp Solar Array on land adjacent to Flixborough Industrial Estate, North Lincolnshire. The geophysical survey and monitoring and recording methodology was appropriate for the nature and scale of the works. The survey has identified some remains of potential archaeological significance, and the subsequent monitoring of the groundworks has shown that these have not impacted upon archaeological remains.
