Historic building recording of, and archaeological monitoring and recording at, an outbuilding at Little Clubworthy, North Petherwin, Cornwall (NGR SX 27271 92595) was undertaken by AC archaeology in February 2024 and February 2025. The investigations were undertaken in advance of and during the conversion and extension of the Grade II Listed outbuilding. The outbuilding has 17th-century origins as an ancillary structure formerly attached to and associated with the farmhouse; it did not originally have an agricultural function. The presence of a large fireplace with smoking chamber is evidence for this. The outbuilding has evidence for multiple phases of repair and rebuilding indicative of constant use both in ancillary domestic use, and more recently in agricultural use. Limited evidence for an adjacent historic outbuilding was recorded, the structure having been demolished and replaced with a garage in the mid-late 20th century.
