Text Sentiment Analysis: A Review

Sentiment analysis is a big branch in the field of natural language processing. The development of text sentiment analysis not only has a great influence in the field of natural language processing, but also has a profound influence in the fields of politics, economy and social sciences which are influenced by people's subjective view. As an interdisciplinary research field, text sentiment analysis has been paid more and more attention by scholars both at home and abroad. The research process and progress of sentiment analysis on the basis of investigation and analysis are summarized in this paper. It is also introduced that the common sentiment lexicon and corpus, the sentiment analysis based on dictionary, the sentiment analysis based on the conventional machine learning algorithm and the sentiment analysis based on the deep learning algorithm. The sentiment analysis of the Chinese and some special texts are discussed. Finally, the difficulties of text sentiment analysis and the future development direction are summarized.
