The core focus of this Deliverable D7.2.1 is to analyse and assess potential and actual societal, ethical and legal challenges related to cybercrime investigation activities. For this purpose, not only the currently existing societal, ethical and legal framework for LEAs fighting with cybercrime is outlined, but also imminent changes to this framework are included by presenting a thorough analysis of the evolving new regulatory instruments at international and supranational level most relevant for law enforcement’s fight against cybercrime.
