The paper presents a study of compact end-face erosion accelerator for generating a high-energy compression plasma flow. Experiments on the discharge electrical parameters measurement and the study of the compression plasma flow formation dynamics are described. The basic possibility of using the accelerator for depositing thin nanostructured metal coating is considered.
