Gaia DR3 data facilitated the creation of binary star catalogues, consisting of more than 2.6 million pairs in total. This represents an order-of-magnitude increase in the number of binary stars with known parameters, as the previous total was only about 140 thousand pairs. To perform a statistical analysis incorporating both previously known and newly discovered systems, we cross-matched the Gaia DR3 data with the most comprehensive composite binary star catalogue, the ILB. An analysis of the resulting list of objects demonstrated a dependence of stellar characteristics on both the parameters of the initial catalogues and the coordinates. In dense stellar fields, particularly in the Galactic disc, the number of false matches is expected to increase. We propose possible modifications to the cross-matching method to reduce the impact of these systematic errors and enhance the reliability of the results.
