Single subject reversal design examines self-recording effects on out-of-seat behavior, suggesting intervention effectiveness.
This study used a single subject reversal design (ABAB) to examine the effects of self-recording procedure on the occurrence of out-of-seat behavior of a 15 year old male, educable mentally handicapped student. Self-recording was associated with significant reductions in the percentage of intervals containing inappropriate out-of-seat behavior. Conclusions, recommendations, and experimental and social validation are discussed.
