Reveals improved load capacity and efficiency in high-power DC-DC converters, suggesting enhanced performance.
Conventional single-channel isolated DC-DC converters face inherent limitations in load capacity and conversion efficiency, particularly under high-power demands. To address these challenges, this study proposes an innovative dual-channel parallel-topology isolated DC-DC power converter architecture that merges two independent channels into a single output, improving output power while enhancing efficiency. Using Class-D LC tank configuration with optimized switching frequency to maximize voltage amplitude and enhance power density. The integrated on-chip isolation coreless transformer enables bidirectional power and signal transmission while maintaining galvanic isolation of 6.0kVrms. A low-parasitic rectifier layout fabricated by land grid array package is integrated for reducing the conduction losses. Experimental validation demonstrates a maximum of 1.68W in load capacity and 38.5% peak power-conversion efficiency.
